Red Flag Releasing Picks Up Meskada, December 3rd Release

Meskada tells the story of a small-town detective, Noah Cordin, as he attempts to solve a juvenile homicide that occurred during a home burglary in his affuent town of Hillard. The dead boy's mother, Allison Connor, is a member of the Meskada County Board of Commissioners, and a powerful woman in Hilliard; and the entire township rallies together in solidarity - to support her and Dectective Cordin's efforts to find the killers.

Unfortunately, the burglars left no clues or leads at the crime scene - except for a tiny scrap of paper, which vaguely points Noah and couty detective Leslie Spencer in the direction of Noah's OWN hometown of Caswell. Noah and Leslie retun to Caswell, where Noah re-connects with his old friends and roots, troubled at how economically downtrodden Caswell has become. Noah's investigation into the Connor homicide starts off respectfully, as he enlists the help of his old friends Daniel Hartfield, a cop in Caswell, and Billy Burns, a local bar owner.

However, as Noah fails to extract a suspect, tensions rise feverishly between Hilliard and Caswell. The Meskada County Board of Commissioners threatens to derail a newly-planned manufacturing plant from setting up in Caswell, which would bring CRUCIALLY needed jobs into their local economy. Shocked by the threatened sabotage, Daniel, Billy and all of Caswell begin their own investigation into their town - to reveal the killers and put their manufacturing plant back on track. And through all of this, Noah's loyalties are torn between his past and his present...until the Connor murder investigation comes to a shocking climax.

Elephant Garden

written & directed by Sasie Sealy

2010 Independent Director's Lab Bright Young Talent

Once there were two sisters, close as close can be. Their names were Elisabeth and Chloe - Elisabeth of the long brown hair and 17-years-old limbs and Chloe with scabs on her 11-year-old knees. They ran together beneath the Carolina blue skies, among the cul de sacs and pine trees, telling stories and whispering secrets. Elisabeth loved her little sister and looked after her, and Chloe, well Chloe just adored Elisabeth.

Then came a day - that dreadful, inevitable day - when someone new showed up. His name was Mike, and he was always there - looking at Elisabeth, taking her in as she hid behind her hair, knees tucked insider her sweatshirt. Elisabeth looked at him too. But alas, neither looked at Chloe.

And so Chloe tried to make two into three. But a hard little knot began to grow in Chloe once she realized that two could never be made into three. The hard little knot turned black, and it ached sometimes, but Chloe tried to hide it for she truly loved her sister. Elisabeth and Mike knew nothing of the knot, for they had found true love beneath a roller coaster, and love is indeed blind.

And so the little knot grew...

Someday This Pain Will Be Useful to You

Director: Roberto Faenza, Writers: Roberto Faenza, Dahlia Heyman

Roberto Faenza Returns to NYC

"Someday This Pain Will Be Useful To You" is a funny, tender, and brilliant film about James Sveck (Toby Regbo), a vulnerable teenager with a deep appreciation for the world and no idea how to live in it.  James is the child of divorced parents living in Manhattan (Marcia Gay Harden and Peter Gallagher). While his estranged parents, and self absorbed sister may be better served examining their own lives, they seem more content conspiring to guide him in a more "normal" direction.

Marjorie, James' mother, has just prematurely returned from her honeymoon with compulsive gambler, Mr. Rogers (Stephen Lang), in what appears to be her third failed marriage.  James' father, Paul, a successful lawyer, displays deep-seated insecurities by dating women half his age.  James’ sister, Gillian (Deborah Ann Woll), on the other hand, dates men twice her age in an attempt to stand out amongst this already motley cast of characters.

Surrounded by a family he cannot relate to, James can confide only in his enigmatic and benevolent grandmother Nanette (Ellen Burstyn) and eventually his athletic and idiosyncratic life coach Rowena (Lucy Liu).  He develops a stormy friendship with John (Gilbert Owuor), the well groomed and articulate director of his mother’s art gallery.  With only months until college is set to start and with all these forces pulling him in divergent directions, this summer is set to change the course of James’ life forever.

Kantaros

by DangerBox Entertainment, LLC

Kantaros, a living spacecraft, has traveled for tens of thousands of years, exploring thousands of star systems. Kantaros, barely surviving the effects of a nova, finds refuge among an earth like moon of a gas giant. Once in orbit Kantaros searches for the resources it desperately needs and unintentionally transforms a life-form from the planet into a demigod, while unwillingly losing control of itself in the process.

The series begins as Scott and the passengers of flight 1437 are transported to Kantaros and held captive by the demigod, Caydren. During an attempt to escape, Scott is transformed by an unknown alien device, brought into Kantaros many years before, and becomes the reluctant protector of the Sameer, the Oor, and the Kish. Scott’s only chance for survival and the humans’ sole chance to return home is to ally with theses aliens as their demigod unleashes genocide upon them.
